INTERNAL PARASITE CONTROL FOR HORSES

COMPOSITION: Each 6.42 g syringe contains:
Ivermectin............................................................................ 1.87%

Praziquantel......................................................................... 14.03%

INDICATION: 

For the treatment and control of internal parasites in horses, including large and small strongyles, ascarids, pinworms, hairworms, lungworms, tapeworms and bots. Also aids in the control of summer sores and parasitic dermatitis caused by susceptible parasites.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: For oral use in horses and ponies from 4 weeks of age.

Stallions and breeding, pregnant or lactating mares may be treated without adverse effects on fertility.

This syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 600 kgs horse at the recommended dose rate of 200 µg ivermectin/ kg B.W and 1.5 mg praziquantel/ kg B.W. Each 1.07 g of the product delivers enough paste to treat 100 kgs B.W.

How to use:

• Make sure that the horse’s mouth contains no feed.

• Remove the cover from the tip of the syringe.

• Insert the syringe tip into the horse’s mouth at the space between the teeth.

• Depress the plunger as far as it will go, depositing paste on the back of the tongue.

• Immediately raise the horse’s head for a few seconds after dosing.

Withdrawal time: Do not use in horses intended for human consumption

Precautions:

• This product should not be used in other animal species as severe adverse reactions, including fatalities in dogs
• Swelling and itching reactions after treatment with ivermectin paste have occurred in horses carrying heavy infections of neck threadworm microfilaria.
