STIMULATION OF PARTURITION AND PROMOTION OF UTERINE INVOLUTION
COMPOSITION: Each 1 ml contains
Oxytocin ....................................................................20 IU
INDICATION
- To support delivery in case of primary and secondary depression of contracts and to accelerate the expulsive phase of delivery.
- To stimulate involution in case of placenta retention and exometra and remove the pathological contents of uterus, endometritis, pyometra.
- Agalactia in consequence of milk production disorder.
DOSAGE: IM, SC administration
Mares, cows: 2-2.5 ml per animal
Ewes, goats: 0.5 - 1.5 ml per animal
Sows: 1-2 ml per animal
Bitch: 0.25-0.5 ml per animal
Cats: 0.15-0.25 ml per animal
If necessary, repeat after 2 - 3 hours.
Withdrawal time:
- For meat: 1 day.
- For milk: 1 day.
Contra-indications:
- Unopened cervix. Wrong position of foetus or uterus.
- Obstructive dystocia. Hypersensitivity to oxytocin.
PRESERVATION: Store at a cool place and keep out of direct sunlight.
